Value Added Tax (VAT)

The value added tax (VAT) amounts of 19% of the net value of the attorney's fees. We do not charge VAT for office fees.

Whether VAT is payable or not depends on the country in which your company has its place of business or, in case you are a private person, you have your residence.

• In case we bill to a German address (place of business or residence), VAT is payable.
• In case we bill to an address within the European Union, but outside Germany, only private persons (residence) need to pay VAT. Companies identify themselves as legal entities by a VAT identification number and will not be charge VAT.
• In case we bill to an address in any other country outside the European Union, no VAT is payable.
